The DDL Wizard
Find Dependency Dialog Box

The DDL Wizard Find Dependency Dialog Box

The DDL Wizard can display the dependent objects for specific DDL types. For example, you might wish to see all indexes, primary keys and synonyms for a table. In order to present this information correctly, each DDL object needs to be examined and compared against all of the others to find what relationships it might be involved in.

Such comparisons take time. Rather than slow down the load process, the dependency check is started in the background immediately after the load. The Find Dependency dialog box appears when you have requested an action or operation that cannot be performed until the dependency check completes. The blue bar indicates the current progress of the checking process.
